The SOM Team is in need of a person to provide Software Engineer/ Systems Integrator support in Morgantown, WV, Grand Junction, CO or Westminster, CO offices. The Software Engineer/Systems Integrator will work with an integrated IT team supporting US DOE Office of Legacy Management IT projects. The software engineer/ systems integrator will leverage their knowledge and experience to effectively contribute to long- and short-range systems planning and implementation by designing, developing, testing, and deploying .NET web and other applications using C#, Entity Framework, and SQL Server 2008/20012/2016. The successful candidate will support projects to upgrade, modify, or replace operational environmental data management, GIS, financial, federal records, communications, and business support systems. The position is in a standard office environment and works 40 hours per week M-F. There is a 6-month min. on this position.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Systems Integration.
Minimum of 0 to 5 years of related experience.
Possesses demonstrated knowledge and experience developing and integrating web and other applications composed of C#.NET, Entity Framework, and SQL Server 2008/2012/2016 technologies.
Possesses demonstrated C#, ASP.NET, JQuery, Web Services (SOAP/REST), CSS, HTML, and SQL experience. •Possesses strong understanding of relational databases and complex queries
Possesses a working knowledge of SDLC, configuration management, IT Governance, and risk management frameworks and associated tools.
Possesses demonstrated experience with performing software development, systems integration and enhancements, unit and user testing, and systems maintenance efforts
Possess strong abilities to develop technical requirements, produce software documentation, and devise thorough test procedures.
Possesses strong ability to effectively collaborate and contribute to a cross-functional team with other software engineers, data managers, network & system administrators, and other technical & non-technical staff to develop requirements, design, develop, test and deploy COTS and custom technology solutions.
Must be able to work together and communicate maturely and professionally with co-workers and federal customers.
Must be willing to travel to alternate sites to support systems operations, integration, and deployment. (<25% travel)
Must be able to pass a background investigation and be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screening.
